Shab-e-Miraj is a night-based journey which was done by Prophet Mohammad. The journey started from the holy mosque of Mecca via al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and ended after reaching heaven. It is believed that in order to go to heaven, Prophet Mohammad took the ride of a magical horse named ‘al-Buraq’. Shab-e-Miraj is celebrated on the 27th day of the Rajab month of the Islamic calendar and Prophet Mohammad did this journey to heaven in the period of 621 CE.
