The Indian flag co-founded by Madam Cama consists of three colors, green, yellow and red respectively. It also contains eight lotuses, representing eight provinces of India and a crescent moon and sun which represent Islam and Hindu religion. The middle of the flag was with a script read as “Vande Mataram” in Hindi language. This flag was later used as a template for the new version of Indian flag.

In remembrance of Madam Cama, Indian postal department issued a stamp by her name on India’s 11th Republic Day. Indian Coast Guard presented patrol vessel by the name ICGS Bhikaiji Cama in 1997 to show their respect towards Madam Cama.
