Sardar Udham Singh was a revolutionary freedom fighter who took the revenge of Jallianwala Bagh massacre by chasing his enemy to London and killed General Michael O dyer, the perpetrator of Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Udham Singh became a revolutionary after getting influenced by Bhagat Singh. Udham Singh also joined the Ghadar party where he was assigned to arrange the Indians for freedom struggle who are living in other countries.
Udham Singh became an orphan in his childhood and came to Amritsar, where he came in touch with the freedom fighters and got involved in the freedom struggle of India.

The tragic incident of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre changed the whole life of Udham Singh. He saw hoe General O Dyer killed almost all the people who gather in the park for a peaceful protest and raising their demands in front of the British rule. Udham Singh decided to take revenge and he followed general O dyer up to England and killed him. A district in Uttarakhand “Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar” is named in the honor of Udham Singh.
