Birsa Munda was a revolutionary freedom fighter who struggled against the British government. He was the only tribal leader who started agitating against the laws made by the British government which could snatch the rights of tribal people to access and utilization of resources of the jungle. Birsa Munda also made his army of guerrilla people who fought with the Britishers. Birsa Munda became a god-like figure among the tribal people.

Birsa Munda also opposed this move that the Britishers are also attacking the culture and identity of the tribal people and converting them into Christians.

Birsa Munda opposed the agrarian structure which was imposed by the British government, they were also not allowed to utilize the resources of the jungle. Due to this movement, Birsa became a god to the tribal.
