Short and Long Paragraphs on Lockdown

Paragraph 1 – 100 Words

Lockdown is an emergency procedure from the current authority of a particular region. The instructions regarding the nationwide lockdown are considered mandatory for each and every citizen of a country. When a country is facing riots, epidemic or with some unexpected crisis, then the government declares a complete lockdown for the general public.

In India on the 24th of March 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21 days lockdown as an initiative measure against global pandemic Coronavirus. The highly contagious Coronavirus COVID-19 disease can be stopped by social distancing.   • Be in Home: Lockdown restricts the people from going out of their home until or unless any of a medical emergency.
  • Transportation Services Barred: All the transportation services like bus, railway, etc. will be suspended but the groceries, vegetables, and milk lorries' trucks will remain as it is.
  • Exemption for Some Services: Lockdown allows the petrol pump, medical services, police services, banks and ATMs, and all other essential manufacturing units for the continuation of their services.
  • Penalty for Abiding the Rules of Lockdown: Home Ministry of India has strictly announced that people who will not follow the instructions of lockdown will be sent to jail for a year.

Lockdown is an emergency declaration by the government of a particular area. On 24th March 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the nationwide lockdown as a precautionary measure from the Coronavirus COVID-19 epidemic. After the announcement of lockdown, people started restoring their essentials. There are millions of migrant workers who emigrated from their cities; they became jobless after the sudden lockdown. They left with no livelihood, the Anand Vihar Railway Station; Delhi was jammed by several daily wagers. Thousands of workers started walking towards their native. They travel several miles without food and water.

The situation got worsened when some workers lost their lives while walking. Then the government announced relief funds and food distribution for them. Police authorities came out for their help.  Supreme Court of India on the 30th of March heard the petition against the migrant workers. The government provided restrooms and shelter for the poor daily wagers and the migrant workers.

In Lucknow, various five-star hotels came out with the isolation and quarantine facilities. As these workers were migrating from interstate or inter cities so, the government announced their quarantine as a preventive measure. UP government announced bus facilities for the UP migrants in Anand Vihar Railway Station. Day by Day government is taking every possible step for the lockdown.

Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 is not prevented by any medicine and it’s highly contagious from the saliva, nasal droplets of the patient.
