Gender inequality is one of the hot topics in our country. The meaning of gender inequality is the difference between girls and boys. As they are not equal. There are various facts proving gender-biasedness in India. Girls are judged to be less and not equal to boys, in various parts of the nation. There are various schemes launched to neutralize gender disparity. Nevertheless, we have to change the mindset of the people to create a nation where there will be no difference between anyone.

Short and Long Paragraphs on Gender Inequality

Paragraph 1 – 100 Words

When a boy is born it is a matter of celebration and when it is a girl everyone gets sad nearby. There is a mentality form far history. Girls are always considered inferior in our society. They are kept away from the right of education and sometimes are treated like a maid. It is considered useless to teach them because they have to move to a separate house after marriage.

However, the case of Femicides has reduced a lot. Nevertheless, according to a survey in 2019, there are 930 females per 1000 males. We have made a lot of progress and some more efforts are needed to get rid of this problem. A woman can do anything, and the only thing she needs is to trust her and give her a chance.

There is a gender disparity regarding the huge differences between men and women in our society. A woman has to suffer a lot at different stages of life from birth. The reason is the male-dominated society. Boys are considered superior in our society. They are given all the facilities since their birth. Every year over 50,000 women are killed just because of their gender.

After birth, a woman has to fight for everything like education, liberty, rights, etc. Our cultural background also makes a woman inferior. The dowry system in India is also one of the major reasons behind femicide. Although our government has banned dowry still, it can be easily seen in our society.

Girls are not less than boys; either it is Space or Force. They have proved themselves everywhere. Things and mentality have changed a lot, but more activeness is required to nullify gender inequality.

India is a developing nation and this kind of gender biasedness is a matter of shame for the nation. A nation where all Indians are said to be the same, then why every year more than 1,00,000 girls are found dead in dustbins or on a roadside.

Girls have to fight for their rights since they are born. If accepted after birth, the story does not end here. In many cases, she is served as a maid in the house and is kept away from school, social activities and many other things. Sometimes if there are two children, one boy, and the other girl, boys are treated better and are given more facilities.

Gender inequality has rooted in our society. Although girls are not inferior to boys and there is no area where girls are left behind, there are some families who believe in a patriarchal society.

The time has changed and girls are no more burden. Let them go to school, let them live their life. Believe me, girls are not less than boys, both are equal and will remain equal forever.

The word gender inequality itself describes what we are discussing. It is true that boys and girls are not equal because both are two different wheels of a vehicle naming life. Both have different characteristics and importance. The things a girl can do, a boy cannot and vice-a-versa. But this inequality cannot be their weakness and one should not be prioritized on the basis of certain characteristics.

In our society, boys are considered superior due to the power of their hands, manpower, leadership qualities, etc. Girls are considered to be weak because they do not carry so much energy. But India has a patriarchy society and male dominance can be seen everywhere since history.

Girls usually face gender inequality in many places, from their birth. When a girl is born it is always a choice, either the parents want to keep her or should be thrown into a dustbin. But when it is a boy, it’s a matter of celebration. 

The gender inequality has been followed for ages and even today more than 2000 girls are killed within the womb every day. As per a sex survey of the year 2019, there are 930 females per 1000 males. There was a huge difference in the earlier ratio, but due to awareness among people and some government actions, the difference ratio has decreased. Still, girls are less in comparison to boys. 

Our government has launched various schemes for girl children like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojana, Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme, Nanda Devi Kanya Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana, etc. All are for the girl child, to save them and make a nation where girls can live without any fear.
