Puducherry is a Union territory of India situated in south coast. Initially it was famous as Pondicherry however the union Territory has changed its name to Puducherry. According to 2011 censes, the population in state is about 9.5 lakhs (male about 4.6 and female about 4.8) lakhs. Literacy rate in Puducherry is about 85.44% (males are about 3.8 lakhs and females are 3.4 lakhs).
