Goa is the smallest state of India by area. It is situated in south western region of the country. The state is surrounded by Maharashtra and Karnataka. Goa is the 4th smallest populated state in India. Panji is its capital and Vasco De Gamma is its largest city. Goa is well known for its Tourist attraction because of its beaches and churches.

Goa is recorded as one of the highest literate states in the country where foundation of education was put from the time of Portuguese. In Goa, Male ration of literacy rate is 90% and Female is 84% (total literacy rate is 87%) according to the 2011 censes.
