Daman city is one of the two union territories (Daman & Diu) which is situated at distance of 15km from Valsad (Gujarat Maharashtra border) mainly known for its tourist attraction. Daman Ganaga River divides the city in two different parts namely Nani Daman and Moti Daman. Nani Daman is larger than Moti Daman.

There is only one Government polytechnic college in Daman which is ‘Government Polytechnic Daman’. College is affiliated from AICTE having Diploma courses in all streams. College provides Diploma courses on Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering and IT with all necessary amenities like its class rooms, Laboratory, Library and Hostel facility.
