Belgaum, also known as “Belagavi”, is a city of Indian state Karnataka which is in list of hundred cities who are planned to develop as Smart cities of India. Belgaum city is not only well-known for its growing Industrial infrastructure but also for its improved educational system that is allowing students to pursue their professional career in whatever field they require.
In recent past years, Belgaum city has shown a great development in field of higher educational as it consist of 8 engineering colleges, 5 medical colleges, 9 polytechnic colleges and 3 law colleges including dental and basic degree colleges too. City is home to largest technical education university in Karnataka that is “Vishvesvaraya Technological University” (VTU) which is affiliating more than 200 colleges in nearby district and introducing around 67000 graduates per year. In Belgaum, in spite of VTU, “Rani Channamma University” is also present which is established by government of Karnataka as to upgrade the PG centre of Karnataka University Dharwad.
